Coach’s Outlook: “If we can be patient and grow gradually, I think we’ll be a pretty good team. I think we’ll struggle early on, but I’m expecting towards that middle-end of the season to be pretty good. If we can steal a couple of early games, we’ll be in good shape.”
Last year’s record: 8-9
Head coach: Leo Shidler (4th season)
Captains: Jake Brennan, Sr. G; Troy Reinold, Sr. A; P.J. Usalis, Sr. M.
Key Returnees: Kyle Russel, Jr. A; Ben Kaupp, Jr. D; Tyler Fouhey, Jr. D; Aidan Moulton, So. M; Mark Nalesnik, So. M.
Strengths: A good group of returning players on offense and Brennan. The Crusaders should do fairly well putting the ball in the net and Brennan is an experienced, steady goalie.
Concerns: A revamped defense. Fenwick only has one year of combined long pole experience between the three starters.
Coach’s Outlook: “We have a lot of talent and desire on this team and we’re looking forward to seeing where it takes us. We have the perfect mix of upper and under classmen to make that next big leap as a program and play in the state tournament for the first time in school history.”
Last year’s record: 13-6-1 (lost to Wayland, 13-7, in the Div. 2 North quarterfinals)
Head coach: Karen Guillemette (7th season)
Captains: Grace Celona, Sr. M; Anna Moulton, Sr. M; Katie Hart, Sr. D; Monica Poeske, Sr. D.
Key Returnees: Annette Ruggiero, Jr. M; Natalie Emerson, Jr. M: Jackie Hart, So. D; Nicole Votta, Sr. G.
Strengths: Experience. The Crusaders welcome back five seniors and a bunch of juniors who all saw significant playing time last year. The Crusaders only graduated two players, so opposing teams should expect to see a pretty sound lineup this season.
