Upsets, upsets and more more upsets

With less than a month remaining, the National Football League playoff races should be becoming clearer.

Well, it isn't.

Week 14 is empirical proof.

Two great teams, as in New Orleans and L.A. Rams, don't look so great right now.

And two absolute "locks," New England and Pittsburgh, found interesting ways to lose. In fact, of the 203 entries, only five picked the Dolphins to beat the Patriots, and only two picked the Raiders to upset the Steelers.

Despite picking the Bears to upset the Rams, this proved to be one of the toughest weeks of the last two months. I had seven correct selections out of 15.

What does that mean? It means a lot of entries beat me. And the first tiebreaker is all-important.

In Week 14 the 10 sports tech T-shirt winners had eight or more winners and were only one point from the Patriots point total of 33.

It should be noted that the Saturday games will be included in the Week 15 "I Beat Burt" picks.

Good luck.
