Glover’s Marblehead Regiment invited the public again to join the local re-enactors on Feb. 1 for a poignant ceremony to commemorate the contributions and sacrifices of Marblehead residents during the Revolutionary War. A lantern-lit march proceeded from the Old Town House to Burial Hill. At General Glover's graveside, Captain Seamus Daly delivered an oration, followed by a rifle salute. The regiment then proceeded to Glover Square for another salute at Glover's homestead. Members of the public were encouraged to bring their own lanterns to the march, and dress in modern or 18th century fashion. The march and ceremony lasted approximately an hour.
