Dr. Satya Montgomery has been appointed vice president of children’s behavioral health at Lahey Health Behavioral Services in Peabody, where she will oversee community-based programs for families and youth. Previously, Montgomery was part of the Intensive Care Coordinator/Community Services Agency pilot program for the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership. She has worked in social services and behavioral healthcare for 17 years, and in 2004–2005, she was appointed to the Governor’s Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence.

Scott James, vice president for enrollment management and student life at Salem State University, has been named an American Council on Education fellow for the next academic year. Established in 1965, the program is designed to identify and prepare emerging leaders for senior positions in college and university administration. James, a resident of Amesbury, has more than 20 years of higher education experience, including positions at Boston University, Harvard University, Suffolk University and Lesley University.

Dr. David Toth, an endocrinologist specializing in diabetes and metabolism, recently joined Beverly Hospital’s endocrinology department in the Lahey Outpatient Center at 480 Maple St. in Danvers. Prior to joining Beverly Hospital, Toth practiced at Pentucket Medical Associates in Newburyport. He completed his internal medicine residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and an endocrinology fellowship at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Regina Doherty of Beverly, an occupational therapist who serves as associate professor at MGH Institute of Health Professions, has been inducted as a fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Doherty, the first director of the MGH Institute’s department of occupational therapy, previously held a clinical appointment at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and an academic appointment at the Boston School of Occupational Therapy at Tufts University.

Dr. Andre Guay, senior staff endocrinologist and director of the Center for Sexual Function at Lahey Clinic North Shore in Peabody, will be honored by the Massachusetts Medical Society on June 11 with the 2014 Men’s Health Award, which recognizes an individual who has advanced the cause of men’s health. Board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology and a widely published author on both men’s and women’s sexual health, Guay has directed the Center for Sexual Function at Lahey since 1994.

Sweetfeed Fine Food and Catering, which has been in business for just under a year at 1511/2 Hale St. in Beverly, has opened a second location within the Sterling YMCA in Beverly. The small cafe will cater to the dietary requirements of the Y’s members, promoting a healthy lifestyle.
