DANVERS — Veterans connected with employees who have served in the Armed Forces and human resources professionals Wednesday during a mentor and career event at Abiomed.
The event focused on medtech and biotech career opportunities for veterans, including students, those transitioning from active service and others interested in life sciences careers. It was sponsored by MVPvets, a veteran mentoring program co-founded by Abiomed President and CEO Michael Minogue.
Attendees heard from human resources executives and met with veteran employee mentors to ask questions and career advice. They also toured Abiomed, a medical device company headquartered on Cherry Hill Drive.
The event is part of MVPvets’ goal to bring 100 new veterans into the state’s medtech and biotech industries this year.
