GLOUCESTER — Students exploring their college and career paths have a chance to investigate options for both Thursday when the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce hosts its fifth annual Cape Ann Career & College Fair.

The free fair, billed by the Chamber as the largest in the state, will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 14 in the Benjamin A. Smith Field House at Gloucester High School, 32 Leslie O. Johnson Road. The Chamber is hosting the event in partnership with Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester Essex Regional and Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical high schools.

The event will offer or allow attendees to:

Tap into college and local business representatives who can help develop a personal career road map.

Visit with representatives of 75 colleges and universities from across the nation.

Explore educational pathways in STEM, hospitality, health care, education, arts and more.

Speak with more than 50 local business leaders.

Meet trades and armed forces professionals.

Explore career opportunities that do not require college degrees

Learn about summer jobs, internships and community service opportunities.

Businesses that will be hiring high school students this summer are invited to send job listings to the chamber which will be posting a jobs board at the fair. The listings may sent to Ken Riehl at to be posted.

All local students, whether attending a public or private high school, are welcome.
