Salem resident Kimberly Arouth, BSN, RN, has been appointed chief executive officer of Visiting Nurse & Community Care, Inc., a leading non-profit home care agency serving Salem and 62 other cities and towns in eastern Massachusetts. The appointment takes effect July 8, 2019. Arouth, who joined the organization in 2012, had been serving as vice president of VNCC’s sales & marketing division, and as director of its private-pay personal care division, called Additional Care. A graduate of Boston College School of Nursing, she is a board member of the Home Care Aide Council, and has held sales and marketing positions with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.


Ipswich’s True North Ale Company claimed multiple medals at the 2019 North American Brewers Association “International Beer Awards Excellence in Brewing” competition. In its 23rd year, the NABA International Beer Awards saw more than 2,000 beers submitted for judging. True North Ale Company won gold for VINCIANNE Belgian Blonde Ale, one of its flagship brands, and also a winner of the gold award at the 2018 World Beer Cup in the “Belgian Blonde / Belgian Pale Ale” category. NORTHERN HAZE Juicy IPA, another flagship brand, was awarded a silver medal in one of the most competitive categories, “Hazy or New England-Style India Pale Ale”. NORTHERN HAZE has rapidly become a leading seller in hundreds of bars, restaurants, and stores throughout Massachusetts.
