Jean Martinho of Lynnfield has joined North Shore Community College as the donor relations officer, taking the lead on growing the college's annual fund and creating a planned giving program. Martinho previously spent more than 17 years in development with the American Cancer Society, where she rose to the level of vice president.

Vanessa Bettencourt has joined Beverly Bank as assistant vice president, retail banking, working out of the Lafayette Street, Salem branch. She will focus on business development in Salem and the surrounding communities. Bettencourt has more than 13 years of banking experience, most recently as a branch manager at Citizens Bank.

Mike Nestor has joined Steel Root, a cybersecurity services firm based in Salem, as managing partner. Previously he was a member of the strategic accounts team at Recorded Future. He is a graduate of St. Michael’s College, where he earned a B.S. in business administration.

Brendan Maloy of Danvers has been named to the board of directors of The Financial Planning Association of Massachusetts, for a three-year term. Maloy, who grew up in Danvers, recently returned to the town after 22 years. He is a partner and third-generation business owner at Insight Financial Horizons, an independent advisory firm in Danvers that was started by his grandfather. He joined the firm in 2014 after more than a decade in the marketing/public relations industry.
