Character reenactor Jessa Piaia channels Isabella Stewart Gardner this Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Gordon Room of the Peabody Institute Library, 15 Sylvan St., Danvers.
With characteristic verve, the magnificent muse will tell you how she came to be considered America’s first patroness of the arts and why the museum that she designed and built is like no other.

“Into the Woods,” Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning Broadway hit that hits home with both kids and adults, will be presented with both kids’ and adults’ treatments and casts in separate performances by Stage 284.
The adult actors will perform Nov. 1, 2 and 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 2, 3 and 10 at 3 p.m., and the youth actors on Nov. 9, 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 9, 16 and 17 at 3 p.m.

The Sons and Daughters of Alexander will perform Greek dances, and the “agora” will be stocked with Greek food items and gifts.
