Meet the Veggie Kittens: Parsnip, Turnip, Rutabaga, Jicama, Yam and Yuca, along with their mother, Rudi.
Named for root vegetables, these kittens are playful, fun, curious, spunky and lovable. They are 12 weeks old, in excellent health, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, up-to-date on their shots for their age, house-trained, and not spayed or neutered yet. Rudi is 7 months old, still a kitten herself.
The preference is to place two kittens together or in a home with other young/gentle cats. In an unusual circumstance, a single kitten will be placed.
You can meet the Veggie Kittens and fill out an adoption application at the Marblehead Animal Shelter, 44 Village St., on Mondays and Thursdays from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m., Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m.
