A woman called from Lt. Ross Park on Johnson Street at 3:36 p.m. to report that an older man in his 60s or 70s, with white hair, a white beard and wearing a plaid shirt, was taking photos of her children before leaving on a bicycle.

Robert Perkins, 48, of 32 Budleigh Ave., Beverly, was arrested at 4:32 p.m. on Main Street on charges of trespassing and possession of a Class B substance, following a complaint that he was unwelcome at an apartment house. 

A woman reported that items were taken from her purse while she was cleaning her car at Turnpike Car Wash on Newbury Street (Route 1) at 6:15 p.m.

A Nickerson Road resident who had just returned from a vacation reported the theft of jewelry from her apartment at 6:19 p.m. 


A water main break in the 400 block of Lowell Street caused officials to close the road in both directions at 12:53 a.m. until repairs could be made. 

Police will seek a complaint charging a Lynn man with child endangerment and improper storage of a firearm after an employee of Little Sprouts daycare on First Avenue discovered a handgun inside a diaper bag shortly after 10 a.m. Police also filed a report of suspected abuse or neglect against the parents of the baby. 



A hit-and-run crash was reported on Brimbal Avenue at 5:23 p.m.

An unarmed robbery of a person in a car was reported at 8:55 p.m. on Elliott Street. 




A motor-vehicle plate theft was reported at 1000 Loring Ave. at 6:50 a.m.

A fraud/scam was reported at 200 Essex St. at 11:08 a.m. 

Threats were reported at 450 Highland Ave. at 2:59 p.m.

A larceny was reported at 4:56 p.m. at 149 Derby St.

Threats were reported at 400 Highland Ave. at 5:04 p.m.

Threats were reported at 7:29 p.m. at 1 Salem Green.

A past break-in was reported at Boston and Pope streets at 8:49 p.m. 

A hit-and-run crash was reported on Webb Street at 9:02 p.m.


Vandalism/graffiti was reported on Lemon Street at 1:46 p.m.



There was a little too much smoke coming from a smoker at a home on Bubier Road at 9:28 a.m. After determining that no one was home, the Fire Department extinguished the smoker. 

A person on Ocean Avenue reported that his 17-foot white and turquoise Proline boat and trailer were missing at 5:44 p.m. Police confirmed that it had been towed.


Police were called by someone from Beacon Street about loud music coming from a boat at Doliber's Cove. Police made contact with the boaters at 8:42 p.m. and they said they would be on their way.
