PEABODY — Police say there’s no indication of foul play in the death of a man who was found in the woods at the end of Proctor Circle last weekend.

Detective Michael Crane said a body was found lying in a wooded area off the street on April 18 around 2 p.m. by a landscaping crew working nearby. The man was already dead and there were no visible injuries to his body, Crane said.

Police do not believe the man was there long, but the incident is still under investigation pending a full report and autopsy by the medical examiner’s office.

Proctor Circle is a small single-family neighborhood off Lowell Street near Route 128 and the Northshore Mall.
