SALEM — The Salem State University police are accepting toys in lieu of parking fines through Friday, Dec. 16.

New and unwrapped toys will be accepted at the campus police station on Loring Avenue between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, said acting police Chief Robert St. Pierre.

The toys will be given to the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program.
