BEVERLY — A woman had to be removed from her vehicle with the Jaws of Life after a two-car crash Monday night at the intersection in front of Henry's Market.

Police said the woman, a 29-year-old Hamilton resident, suffered a possible broken leg in the accident, which took place around 7:10 p.m. The driver and passenger in the other vehicle were also taken to the hospital, with one man complaining of neck and shoulder pain, police said.

The police report said it took a "significant effort from Beverly fire and Northeast Ambulance" to free the woman from her badly damaged vehicle. The report said the woman ran a red light while crossing the intersection from Dodge Street to County Way. She was cited for failure to stop for a red light.
