To the editor:
Thank you all for a great summer of music in Patton Park!
The Soul Rebel Project band concluded our summer series in Hamilton and they were awesome. We went out with a bang! So many talented musicians. Tree House Charlatans, you guys rock! Blue Heartache was another stellar band. Our tribute bands, Cold Spring Harbor (Billy Joel) and 4EverFab (Beatles) were big crowd pleasers. And we rounded the summer season out with some bluegrass with Southern Rail, swing with White Heat, and show tunes by performers from Stage 284. A fantastic line up.
These concerts were made possible by The Community House (Melissa Elmer, Sarah Bergeron and Carolyn Blaney) and financial support from community sponsors Institution for Savings; Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary; Anthony & Dodge, PC; the Massachusetts Cultural Council; the towns of Wenham and Hamilton; Community Package Store; Lisa Murray, D.M.D.; TM Landscaping; the Hamilton-Wenham Rotary Club; the Friends of the Wenham Council on Aging; and the Wenham Village Improvement Society.
We are grateful to the Asbury Grove Association for the offer of the Tabernacle in inclement weather.
Thank you Bill Melville of HWCAM for providing a videographer.
Lastly, none of these concerts would have happened were it not for the hard work and dedication of the volunteers on the Summer Music Committee: Jeanne Maurand, Beth Myers, Brian Doser, Fred Shepard and Deb Frizzell Morrison.
As we plan for 2020 we welcome band suggestions. Contact The Community House.
See you in The Park next summer!
