To the editor:
On Sept 28. I foolishly left my wallet on the roof of my car while loading purchases. I started south from Gloucester on Route 128, and, as I sped up, it blew off the car onto the shoulder of the road. Beverly’s Toby McCormack spotted it some minutes later, stopped to investigate, and called me once she got home in Beverly. Toby restores my faith in humanity. In spite of the ugliness and conflict in our national news these days, the bedrock of our society is still intact.
