Beverly Middle School students in grades 5-8 of any size and ability are invited to take part in Beverly Youth Wrestling's 8-week program, running Jan. 8 to Feb. 28 from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. at the Beverly High School Wrestling Room (i.e., upper gym).
Participants will learn the basics of wrestling, the importance of strength training and conditioning, play games with a focus on skill and team building, and havde the opportunity to compete with each other as well as other surrounding youth programs. The registration fee of $15 covers all costs and includes a T-shirt.
Come and learn the basics of the world's oldest sport while gaining a competitive edge in others. Wrestling focuses on agility, quickness, balance, flexibility, coordination, endurance and discipline while focusing on developing team and individual winning attitudes.
