The Peabody Travel Basketball Association is accepting applicants for 6th grade girls/boys, white and blue coaches for 2019-2020 season. The league is open to Peabody residents and position is intended to be three years. Inquiries should be emailed to peabodytravelball@yahoo.com. Please include which team you are applying for, coaching experience and several references from recent teams. Deadline is 8/9/19. Interviews will take place mid to late August.

Cape Ann Hockey School is back for its 40th year and will once again offer three one week sessions from July 29- August 17 for mites through Pee-Wee age kids. Families can register at https://capeannhockeyschool.com/register/.

Top Notch Field Hockey will be hosting a pair of clinics/camps this summer on the following dates: August 12-15, Day session for beginner/intermediate players entering grades 5-9; August 18-20 Advanced/team night session for experienced players entering grades 9-12. SUMMER TRAINING

Peabody coach Fernando Braz is hosting an offseason conditioning program, Going the Distance-Edge, which began on July 8 at Peabody High School. The sessions continue on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings for six weeks. Cross country athletes meet from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and all other athletes from 9-10:30. The program is open to athletes from middle school through college from all communities. The program focuses on aerobic base and foundation, flexibility, agility, quickness, efficiency/ecnomy and proper form, core, stretching and mobility, as well as injury prevention. Fees for the cross-country section are $205 for a comprehensive program or $180 for only the 6 weeks onsite sessions. Fee for the all-sports program is $160. Salem Youth Football and Cheering will hold its last registration of the year on Wednesday, July 17 at the Salem Moose Lodge from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
