Abby Skinner led all scorers with 12 points and helped Pingree knock off Lynnfield, 34-28, in the championship final of the 12th annual Danvers Girls Summer Basketball League Thursday night.

Teammate Tori Farrell, an incoming freshman for Pingree, added seven points in the win. Savannah Gibbs also had a strong contest for the titlists.

Pingree had won 11 games it played during the regular season part of the league before losing its playoff opener to Lynnfield. Undeterred, they came back out of the loser's bracket and beat that same Lynnfield team twice to capture the crown, finishing the summer with a 14-1 record.

For Lynnfield, Tori Morelli finished with 10 points and double digit rebounds as well. Point guard Grace Klonsky (5 points) also did a terrific job distributing the basketball.
