2019 SALEM NEWS VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR

LILY ELDRIDGE

Danvers Junior

It's time to add another accolade to an incredible year for Lily Eldridge. The 2019 Salem News Player of the Year also took home hardware as the Northeastern Conference Player of the Year and led her Danvers squad to a state championship appearance, collecting the Division 2 North championship along the way.

The junior setter was the centerpiece of an ultra-talented Falcons squad that ripped off 25 straight wins to enter the Division II title game with an unblemished record. Eldridge was just as consistent as her team, finishing the year with a .954 serving percentage to go along with 88 total aces.

Her generosity on the court was immeasurably important in tapping into the talent that surrounded her as Eldridge dished out an eye-popping 724 assists over the entire season. After being named an NEC all-star in her sophomore season and now the NEC and Salem News Player of the Year in her junior season, the sky is the limit for the 6-foot setter.
