Peabody keys to victory: Moving the ball and scoring points. The Tanners have done reasonably well this year when they've moved the chains and, with the exception of the Lynn English loss, have won when they've taken early leads. They've finished under 20 points in six of their seven losses and over 33 in all three victories, so the formula seems pretty simple.

How do they do it? Getting any number of ball carriers involved — Angel Paulino, Cam Cuzzi, Kyle Maglione, Kris Miralca, Colby Therrien, etc — from different formations and running with purpose. The Tanners project to be without a few starters on the offensive line, so it'll be on the backs to bear down, take the yards that are there and run smartly to convert third downs.

Saugus keys to victory: The Sachems come in with back-to-back wins, outscoring Triton and Gloucester 63-6, so they're feeling confident. Bruising runner Marvens Jean will be hard for Peabody to tackle on grass, and the bet is Saugus will want to use him to wear Peabody down between the tackles. Talented receiver Christian Correia was forced to move to QB when Saugus' starter was lost to injury and he provides a very dangerous dual-threat that Peabody's defense will have to be wary of.

Lineman Dom Clark — an outstanding wrestler for the Peabody/Saugus co-op team — is also a player to watch. Saugus' last win in the series was also at Stackpole Field, which happened to be the last time the Tanners entered with three wins (in 2013). They've scored only 19 points combined in the five games since, so expect a major effort to try to change that trend from the hosts.

Potential Unsung Heroes: Keep an eye on senior QB Krisli Miralca for Peabody. He's become a valuable tool in the offense as the Tanners have focused on running out of their spread formations. With a big body and the ability to break tackles and block around the end when called for, Miralca is a very good running signal caller. If throwing conditions are tough Thursday morning, he could be the X-factor for the Tanners.

Peabody seniors: Fred Koffi, CB/KR; Colby Therrien, WR/RB; Brandon Caniff, RB/S; JoJo Kashilla, TE/DE; Jordan Ilori, WR/DB; Dylan Peluso, WR/DB; Kris Miralca, QB; Declan Russell, WR/P; Jack Flaherty, WR; Joe Casey, LB; Angel Paulino, RB; Phil Makoci, OL/DL; Calvin Scribner, OL/DL; Ari Rozopoulos, OL/DL; Ramon Franco, TE.
