GYMNASTICS

In their last home meet of the season, the Peabody gymnastics team didn't disappoint and pulled of a 121.8-121.65 victory over Hamilton-Wenham.

The Tanners (1-7) were led by their senior captains, which was fitting given that it was senior night for the team. Aimee Sinewtz placed first in the all-around with 31.1 and came first on floor (8.3). Julie Armstrong was second in the all-around with a 30.5, placing second on vault (8.3).

In her first meet of the season, after being sidelined with an injury, Shelby Coulter was first on bars with and 8.2 and second on floor with and 8.2.

BASKETBALL

Brimmer and May 42, Waring 30: Sophomore guard Charlie Mitchell had 10 points in Waring's (6-5) home loss. Henry Balf chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.

SWIMMING

pEABODY fOURTH AT nec mEET: The Tanners finished fourth in the combined co-ed standings of the NEC swimming/diving championships, held Tuesday and Wednesday. Stephen Demeule was the Tanner boys leading swimming with 48 total points while Pat Jwansoski and John Slate-Romano had 40.5 points each. For the girls, Julia Shea notched 47 points and Christina Shea had 44.

MEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL

Endicott 93, Nichols 83: Freshman Andre Makris exploded for 27 points as the Gulls (12-7) won a high scoring game at home. John Henault chipped in 14 points for the hosts while Tyler Burkhart was also in double figures with 13.

Gordon 77, University of New England 45: Junior David Dempsey went six for 10 shooting and scored a team high 14 points in the Fighting Scots (7-13) victory. Park Thomas added 13 points and Alex Carnes pulled down seven rebounds to go along with his 10 points.

WOMEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL

Endicott 61, Nichols 51: Sophomore forward Jordan Ferland went off for 19 points to help her team improve to 12-7. Samantha Crough contributed with 14 points and Jennifer White had 14 boards and seven points.

University of New England 77, Gordon 27: The Fighting Scots dropped to 7-13 and were limited to only scoring 10 points in the entire second half. Leanna Tallamy earned a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
